The Nepal Adventure Tour is structured around three distinct zones, each connected by private transport or a domestic flight. It opens in Kathmandu, moves west to Pokhara and the Annapurna Ghandruk for the Cultural section, and closes south in Chitwan before returning to Kathmandu for the final night.
The Kathmandu days cover the city’s four UNESCO World Heritage Sites on Day 2: Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Budhanilkantha Temple. These are not adjacent to each other; the guided tour moves efficiently between them by private vehicle, covering a city whose spiritual and architectural heritage spans over a thousand years. The Durbar Square complex alone has more than 50 temples and shrines within walking distance, and the guide’s explanations of Newari architecture, tantric iconography, and royal history give the sites real depth beyond what a self-guided visit delivers.
On Day 3 we drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, via visiting Manakamana Temple . Then after we continue to our destination to Pokhara A jeep transfer from Ghandruk to Pokhara on Day 4 covers 41 kilometers in about 2 hours via Nayapul. Pokhara at 900 meters is the natural transition point between the mountain and jungle sections of the tour. The city sits beside Phewa Lake , Bindabasini temple, Gupteshor temple and Pumditkpt with the Annapurna range overhead and gives guests time to relax, eat well, and prepare for the very different environment of Chitwan.
The Day 6 drive from Pokhara to Chitwan covers 150 kilometers over 5 hours along the Prithvi Highway, dropping to 415 meters as the road enters the Terai. The evening at Chitwan includes a Tharu village visit, the National Park Visitor Center, and a cultural performance before the full jungle day on Day 9. The morning canoe ride on the Rapti River, the jungle walk, and the afternoon jeep safari into the park’s core zone cover wildlife habitat that no single activity mode can reach on its own. The return drive from Chitwan to Kathmandu on Day 10 closes the loop before the Day 11 departure.
