Day 1: Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA)

Welcome to Nepal!

Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by one of our team members. They will bring you to the hotel. At the hotel, we will briefly go over the plan and the journey, and afterward, there is no planned schedule so you may utilize the rest of the day as per your wish.

Day 2: Kathmandu and Bhaktapur Sightseeing Tour and 1 hour Drive to Nagarkot

Today, we are visiting UNESCO-listed world heritage sites of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur. We will explore the religious hub for Buddhists and Hindus as well as the historical palaces of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur. We begin the tour with Swayambhunath stupa where we explore several monasteries and temples representing different deities. We then visit Kathmandu Durbar Square to explore the ancient palaces and admire the Newari architecture and the temples. Then, we head to Bouddhanath stupa- a sacred site for Buddhist followers. Another destination is Pashupatinath temple- a Hindu sacred site carrying deep meanings and significance, and also beautiful temples. Last on the tour is Bhaktapur Durbar Square, which showcases Newari architecture and gives the essence of being in medieval times. Afterward, we drive to Nagarkot.

Day 3: Drive to Gorkha from Nagarkot, Duration 5-6 hours

After breakfast, we depart from Wake up early to catch to Sunrise over the Himalayas and enjoy a warm breakfast afterwards. We have a long but scenic drive ahead of us so be prepared for it. Departing from beautiful Nagarkot for another historical town- Gorkha. Home to the ambitious and brave King Prithvi Narayan Shah, the town shelters palaces and the sacred Kalika Devi temple. The palace is perched on the top of a hill and offers jaw-dropping views of the Manaslu range. Within the palace complex is a museum where one can see old artifacts, weapons, and historical relics from the Shah dynasty.

Day 4: Gorkha – Chitwan, Duration: 3 hours driving

Day 5: Full Day Jungle Activity at Chitwan National Park

Spend a full day immersing yourself in the wonders of Chitwan National Park with an array of exciting excursions. Embark on a thrilling jeep safari through the park’s lush grasslands and dense forests, and keep an eye out for rhinos, elephants, deer, and the majestic royal Bengal tiger. Take a serene canoe ride along the river, where you encounter gharials and muggers sunning themselves on the riverbanks. Explore a nearby farming village nestled on the park’s border, offering insights into rural life, before returning to the lodge to unwind.

Day 7: Visit Lumbini, and drive to Pokhara

Later, we will begin our scenic drive to Pokhara. We will have a 6-hour scenic drive to Pokhara- an enchanting town situated at the lap of Annapurna massif.

Day 8: Pokhara Sightseeing Tour

We have a full tour day ahead of us. We will visit Sarangkot to admire the panoramic vistas of Annapurna massif, and then we visit Davis Falls, Pumdikot- a religious and major tourist attraction for locals. Then, we visit White Stupa which is similar to World Peace Pagoda in Lumbini. Then, we go on to visit Gupteshwor cave, and Bindabasini temple- a temple in the middle of Fewa Lake.

Day 9: Drive Back to Kathmandu

Leaving Pokhara, we head back to Kathmandu. The drive offers a scenic journey through the picturesque landscapes of Nepal. Along the route, admire the charming hillside villages, roaring rivers, traditional houses, bustling markets, and lush green forests. In the evening, you’ll join the farewell dinner hosted by Hike Holiday Treks, where you’ll receive your achievement certificate in recognition of your tour journey.
