The itinerary of this Everest Base Camp Trek starts upon your arrival in Kathmandu at the TIA ( Tribhuvan International Airport ). One of our staff or the representative will be waiting for you to pick you up from there. You will get pick and drop service from the airport to the hotel where after you can hang around the city exploring the streets of Kathmandu and hunt for some of the best local foods such as momo, laphing, Chua mein, and other wide varieties of foods.
On this day, our actual trekking will start as we will take a scenic flight to Lukla from Kathmandu in the early morning. The flight will be a very scenic one as it covers the massive spectacular view of Mt. Everest and the following range. After arriving at the Lukla Airport, you will get introduced to the guide and potter after that, we will continue our trekking up to the Phakding.
It will take roughly a trek duration of about 3 hours to get there in Phakding, until there we will have crossed several small settlements, as well as the farming terrace. After arriving at Phakding, we will get a rest there enjoying the fresh tranquility of the Himalayan village at a guesthouse.
With the morning breakfast, we will again begin the trek up to the Namche Bazer. We will go through the high terrains and the rough cliffs for some time to get there in Namche Bazer. You will get the first glimpse of the massive Mt. Everest above the Namche Bazer after we arrive there.
You can enjoy the vibe of Namche Bazer which holds the pure example of Himalayan Town. You can also try out different local food items and witness the living culture at such an altitude. You will also get a spectacular view of mountain ranges which include Thamserku, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Khongde Ri, and many more.
We will be having the acclimatization day in Namche Bazer as we will be crossing an altitude of more than 4000m the next day. You can still use this day to explore more about the place and the culture of people and interact with them to share the experience. The town is full of mountaineering and cultural museums, galleries, restaurants, cafes, etc.
After the afternoon of acclimatization day, we will be conducting a small trek up to the Everest View Hotel which is the highest altitude hotel in the world. From there you will be getting the grand view of Everest and the following range enjoying the meal in there.
After the morning breakfast with the massive view of the mountain range, we will again start the trek up to the Tengboche. The path will be slightly inclined and a little rough at some places, other than that the simple path follows the way up to the Dudh Koshi River. The journey alongside the river will give you the great experience of a riverside journey.
The trek of about 5 hours of continuous walk will take us to the Tongboche Monastery. You will be witnessing a very beautiful village. It is totally surrounded by the Rhododendron and timberlands. From there you also get a different perspective of Mt. Everest and Ama Dablam.
You will get your overnight stay at the village of Tengboche.
With the fresh morning at the Tengboche, we will begin our journey through the timber woods going through different rivers and streams. The day hike up to the Dingboche will be easy as we will not go through any of the rough cliffs. The route is slightly inclined and goes through the slope of hills.
After we arrive at the Dengboche, we will be staying there for the rest of the day. From there you still can get a beautiful view of the mountains. You will find yourself surrounded by mountain peaks and high hills. The farming terrace there with the traditional methods will be a great experience to see.
You will be getting an overnight stay there in Dingboche.
We will be conducting a short hike up to the Nagarjun Hill. So after we get breakfast at Dingboche, the hike will start from there. Nagarjun Hill is a small hilltop that offers a view of great hilly landscapes and the backdrop of the highest mountain peaks such as Mt. Makalu and Mt. Everest in a single frame.
After having a rest time enjoying the spectacular surroundings, we will be returning from there back to the Dingboche where we will be staying for the night.
You will get your overnight stay bat there in Dingboche.
After tea time in Dingboche, we will be having a trekking journey, from there up to the Lobuche. The journey will go through a beautiful valley and remote terrain. The valley offers you a broad perspective of a mountain valley of high altitude. We will gain our altitude after we begin our journey uphill from the valley. It will be a witnessing feature at Lobuche Yak pastures.
You will be staying at Lobuche for the accommodation.
Today it will be the final trek to reach the Base camp. We will be going through the meadows and the rough terrains and very remote paths. It will make your trekking adventurous for sure. You will start to gain the whole view of the South face of Everest from the hill of Kala Patthar. More surprisingly, you will get a massive view of the Khumbu glacier and icefalls throughout your journey up to Base Camp.
The continuous trek of about 4 hours from Lobuche will get you there at Everest Base Camp. You can enjoy the pure exposure of unspoiled nature and the tranquility of the mountain. It will be a great presence at the Everest Base Camp to enjoy the beauty of the Himalayas. So, after spending some time there we will be returning back to the Gorakshep.
After a delicious breakfast at Gorakdhep we will be having a hike to get there in Kala Patthar for about 2 hours and from there we will be getting a Helicopter ride to get back there in Lukla.
This ride will cover the massive and beautiful view of the whole Khumbu region. You will get a very different perspective of the lands which you have walked through. The journey will be a very memorable and remarkable one in our Everest Base Camp Heli shuttle Trek.
After getting into the Lukla we will be having a rest day there in a guesthouse.
This will be the last day in the Khumbu region in your Everest Base Camp Shuttle Trek. You can again enjoy the scenic view of mountain ranges. The flight will take roughly 30 min from flight time form Lukla to get there to Kathmandu.
After arriving in Kathmandu you can explore the Kathmandu valley and have some sightseeing tours. Or you can have more taste of the local foods and the vibe of a bustling city. You can also enjoy the nightlife in Thamel before you depart from there.
You will get your accommodation in a Hotel there in Kathmandu.
This is the last day of your itinerary of Everest Base Camp Shuttle Trek. You will get a morning breakfast and a pick service up to the Airport from where you will officially end your trekking journey. You will get your departure from there.

Yes, you can fly directly to/from Lukla from Kathmandu. The alternative option is to fly via helicopter. This cost for flying to Lukla from Kathmandu is USD 3000 one-way which can be shared between five people. (The helicopter can carry only five people.) So, it costs USD 600 per person for the Kathmandu to Lukla flight on a helicopter.
Also, it is worth noting that you can transfer the cost of your plane ticket (USD 150) to the cost of your helicopter flight, so that it will cost roughly USD 450 per person, if the charter helicopter carries exactly five people on the flight.
Travel insurance is compulsory to do any treks in Nepal.
