Chitwan Jungle Safari Tour is one of Nepal’s most famous adventure tours. The Chitwan National Park is located in the southern central region of Nepal, occupying an area of 932 sq. km. It overlooks the floodplains of the Rapti and Narayani Rivers. The tour to Chitwan National Park is for travelers who want to see Nepal’s unique wilderness and culture. The park has many endangered animals protected within its perimeters, and excursing here allows you to witness them closely. Not only animals but various avifauna are present in its acreages, and spotting rare exotic birds is a key highlight of the Chitwan Jungle Safari Tour.
Moreover, being the first National Park of Nepal, Chitwan National Park was enlisted as a World Heritage Site in 1984 and Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979. With predominantly verdant Sal trees covering about 70% of the National Park, you would be trudging through vibrant and lush woodlands to look at the rare animals in their natural habitat.
The Chitwan Jungle Safari Tour takes you deep into the park, an ancestral home to various mammals, reptiles, and birds. The park highlights include spotting Asian One-Horned Rhinos and the Royal Bengal Tigers. Different species of plants in the park make the Jungle Safari a memorable experience of jungle travel. You can also look at elephants, deer, crocodiles, and pythons in the jungles. You can find different species of beautiful butterflies, 700 to be exact, moths, and insect species. Apart from King Cobra and Rock Pythons, about 17 other species of reptiles have their habitats in the area. Leopards are also most prevalent in the peripheries as well.
Upon arrival at the airport, a representative from Hike Holiday Treks will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. At the hotel, we will talk about your trip. You can relax for the remaining daytime. Overnight stay at the hotel.
We will drive to Chitwan from Kathmandu to experience the incredible jungle safari. As we reach the park, you will be briefed about the tour. Chitwan National Park holds more or less 68 species of mammals, 126 species of fish, 544 species of birds, and more. Here, you may see deer, monkeys, wild boars, sloth bears, Royal Bengal Tigers, leopards, and rhinoceros in their natural habitat. Seeing these rare animals in the jungle is a beautiful experience of being close to the genuine quintessence of nature.
Observing these animals and plants in their environments without the intrusion of modernization is captivating. We will walk around a nearby Tharu village and visit the National Park Visitor’s Center. We will also travel to witness the sunset view from the Rapti River’s shore. The sight of the setting sun and the shimmer of the dying golden rays of the sun on the river’s water surface is serene and provides a beautiful sublimity to the ambiance. In the evening, we can look at the Tharu Cultural Program. Overnight stay in the hotel.
This is our second day in Chitwan National Park. We will experience wonderful jungle activities on this day too. We can go for a jungle walk, share a Canoe Ride along the Rapti River, spend some time Bird Watching, and more on this day. You will also enjoy seeing the elephant bathing in the lake . After Lunch , we can go got elephant riding ,which is truly is a mesmerizing sight and brings a smile to anybody’s face.
This is the last day in Chitwan National Park. We will visit the Elephant Breeding Centre today. And then, we will drive back to Kathmandu.
One of our company representatives will transfer you from the hotel to Tribhuwan International Airport three hours before your scheduled flight. And you will then depart with many unforgettable memories of the experience and beautiful things to share.
