Departing from Kathmandu, your journey takes you on a scenic drive to Besisahar and then Chame and Trekking from Chame to Upper Pisang, experience the rich cultural heritage of the region, passing through picturesque villages and ancient monasteries. As you ascend to Manang, take a day to acclimatize and soak in the majestic mountain views. Pushing onwards, trek to Tilicho Base Camp and then to the breathtaking Tilicho Lake, where turquoise waters shimmer amidst towering peaks.
Descending to Yak Kharka, continue your journey towards Thorong Phedi, preparing for the exhilarating crossing of Thorong La Pass (5,416m/17769ft). From the summit, revel in panoramic vistas before descending to Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site. Trekking through diverse landscapes, reach Jomsom, then after trekking in the Annapurna region, you can take a mountain flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. The trek concludes with a drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara, or you can take another flight to Kathmandu. This will provide a perfect end to an unforgettable trekking experience.

Upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our representative, who will help you transfer to your hotel. Depending on when you arrive, you may have time to explore Thamel, a popular tourist area known for its shops, restaurants, and cultural sites.
You’ll start early with breakfast and then head out on a beautiful drive from Kathmandu to Jagat, where your trek begins. The journey will take you through the picturesque countryside of Nepal, with views of terraced fields, traditional villages, and lush green hillsides. After about 7 hours, you’ll reach Besisahar. This lively town is the gateway to the Annapurna region. From there, you’ll take a jeep that climbs higher into the mountains. Get ready for amazing views of the Himalayas! It’s around a 3-hour journey from Besisahar to Jagat. Jagat, a small village situated along the Marshyangdi River.
Today begins your journey from Jagat to Dharapani, situated at an altitude of about 1,960 meters. The path initially shadows the Marshyangdi River, meandering through thick forests, terraced fields, and traditional Gurung settlements such as Chamje and Tal. Tal, located in the Manang Valley, showcases numerous waterfalls merging into a river near sandy shores. En route, you’ll come across sturdy suspension bridges that facilitate safe crossings over deep ravines and rivers. By late afternoon, you’ll reach Dharapani, a picturesque Gurung village embraced by the mountains. You’ll settle into a guesthouse, unwinding after today’s hike.
Today’s adventure begins with a hearty breakfast in Dharapani. The trail gradually climbs, offering stunning views of the Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, and Annapurna IV (7,525m). You will walk beside the Marsyangdi River, passing through a forest teeming with pine, fir, oak, and maple trees. En route, you will journey through picturesque villages like Bagarchhap, Danakyu, Timang, and Koto before eventually arriving in Chame. Chame, the administrative headquarters of the Manang District welcomes you with its unique charm. As you approach Chame, the landscape transforms into a more arid terrain with stunning rock formations. After checking in at a guesthouse, take the chance to explore the town or simply relax.
Today, you’ll set out on the trail to Upper Pisang from Chame. The trek unveils stunning views of Lamjung Himal and the Annapurna range through a forested, steep, and narrow valley. As you cross a river on a lengthy bridge at 2910 meters, witness the towering Paungda Danda rock face – a curved rock face soaring 1500m from the Marshyandi River. Following this, descend to the Manang Valley floor and finally arrive at Pisang, your destination for the day. Upper Pisang village is graced with traditional Tibetan-style houses and a peaceful setting. Upon arrival, settle into a guesthouse and immerse yourself in the serene atmosphere
Today’s journey will take you through alpine meadows and barren landscapes from Pisang to Manang. Along the way, you will be able to enjoy stunning views of Annapurna II, III, IV, Gangapurna, Tilicho, and Pisang Peak, with occasional glimpses of blue sheep grazing on the hillsides. The region is dry and rugged, sheltered from the monsoon by the Annapurna Range. As you climb, the air will become chilly, dry, and harsh. After passing through Ghyaru, Ngawal, and Braga villages, which are known for their ancient monasteries and stone houses, you will reach the charming Manang village after a rewarding 6-hour hike. This scenic village is situated in a broad valley surrounded by snow-capped peaks. You can explore the cultural treasures of the village, such as ancient monasteries, stupas, and prayer wheels
Today is a rest day in Manang for acclimatization to high altitude and preparation for the challenging trek ahead. Utilize this time to explore the area, taking short hikes to nearby viewpoints for panoramic views of the Annapurna range and Gangapurna Glacier and Lake / Ice Lake. Visit the Himalayan Rescue Association’s clinic in Vraga village to understand altitude sickness and proper acclimatization techniques. Additionally, discover the village’s cultural attractions, such as ancient monasteries, stupas, and prayer wheels, to gain insights into the local way of life.Rest and relax, ensuring proper hydration and avoiding overexertion to prevent altitude-related illnesses.
Start your trek to Siri Kharka from Manang early in the morning, after breakfast. As you leave Manang, you’ll pass by traditional stone houses and Buddhist stupas, gaining insights into the local culture. Exit through the western gates and follow the path leading down to the river. Once you cross the river, stay on its southern side, passing through coniferous forests. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of peaks like Gungang Himal and Mount Chulu as you make your way to Khangsar, a Tibetan settlement, after a three-hour hike. But you will continue towards Shiri Kharka, where you will settle into your accommodation for the night
After breakfast, you will start the trek to Tilicho Base Camp from Shiri Kharka. The trail ascends steeply, providing stunning views of the peaks and valleys. The path is relatively straightforward but can be tiring due to walking on narrow paths in a debris and landslide-prone area. Along the way, you can admire the rock formations and snow-capped peaks. After approximately 5 to 5.5 hours of walking, you will reach Tilicho Base Camp, located at an altitude of about 4,150 meters, beneath the towering cliffs of Tilicho Peak. Overnight stay at the Tilicho Base Camp and relax, enjoying the stunning mountain scenery before your ascent to Tilicho Lake.
Today’s destination is one of the highlights of the trek, as you start early in the morning for the trek to Tilicho Lake, known for its stunning turquoise waters nestled amidst towering peaks. Keep an eye out for wildlife such as blue sheep, yaks, deer, and various bird species along the way. The path climbs steadily along the mountainside, but after about 4-5 hours, you will reach the breathtaking Tilicho Lake (4919 m), one of the highest lakes in the world, renowned for the turquoise waters shimmering in the sunlight as A well-known French expedition team referred to Tilicho Lake as the Great Ice Lake. After exploring the lake and capturing some memorable photographs, return to Tilicho Base Camp for breakfast. After breakfast, you will continue your trek toward Siri Kharka.
Resume your trek from Siri Kharka to Yak Kharka, which takes approximately 5-6 hours. On the way, you will pass by Tare Gumba, a thousand-year-old monastery. Keep an eye out for rare wildlife such as Himalayan tahr and snow leopards along the way. As you descend towards Khangsar Village, you will come across an uninhabited village, except for occasional herders during festival times. Follow the rock wall out of Khangsar, which will lead you to Thorong Khola Valley and finally to Yak Kharka. The trail rises up to a plateau, providing you with a magnificent view of Annapurna and Gangapurna. Once you arrive in Yak Kharka, a small settlement situated at an altitude of 4040 meters, you will be offered basic accommodation amidst pristine Himalayan wilderness. Take some time to relax and unwind, enjoying the tranquility of the high mountains before resting for the night.
Today’s trek takes you from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi, the base camp for crossing Thorong La Pass. The trail ascends gradually, passing through alpine meadows and barren hillsides. You’ll cross several streams and traverse rocky terrain as you make your way towards Thorong Phedi. As you ascend, you’ll be treated to stunning views of the surrounding peaks, including Thorong Peak, Khatung Kang Gudang, and Syagang. Around 3 to 4 hours of uphill walk you arrive at Thorong Phedi, a small settlement situated at an altitude of around 4,450 meters.
Today, you’ll be crossing Thorong La Pass, the highest point on the Annapurna Circuit as well as the one of the world highest passes. It’s important to start early in the morning to take advantage of favorable weather conditions. You’ll have to wake up at Thorong Phedi at 3 or 4 am. The trail leading to the pass ascends steeply and has switchbacks and rocky terrain. As you ascend, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and the Himalayan peaks extending to Tibet in the north. It takes about four hours to climb to the pass, which is marked by chortens and prayer flags. Once you reach Thorong La Pass, situated at an altitude of around 5,416 meters, take some time to celebrate your achievement and enjoy the panoramic views before beginning your descent towards Muktinath.
Muktinath is a sacred pilgrimage site revered by both Hindus and Buddhists. In Tibetan, it is called Chumig Ghasa, meaning “Hundred Waters”. Explore 108 stone sprouts through which flows the icy cold water of Kali Gandaki and the eternal flame in Muktinath
Today you will depart from Muktinath and trek towards Jomsom, a major town in the Mustang region. start descending the trail through Lupra Village. While walking the settlement, you’ll come to discover the famous Bonpo monastery. The trail descends gradually, passing through arid landscapes and traditional villages. You’ll cross the Kali Gandaki River, the deepest gorge in the world, and pass through charming villages such as Kagbeni. Arrive in Jomsom, a bustling town situated at an altitude of around 2,700 meters. Jomsom is known for its apple orchards, strong winds, and stunning views of Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri peaks. Check into your accommodation and relax, enjoying the lively atmosphere of this bustling town.
Today, you’ll take an early morning flight from Jomsom to Pokhara, enjoying breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The flight takes approximately 20-25 minutes, offering stunning aerial views of the Himalayan landscape. Arrive in Pokhara, a serene lakeside city known for its natural beauty and relaxed atmosphere. Spend the day exploring Pokhara’s scenic attractions, such as Phewa Lake, Devi’s Fall, and the World Peace Pagoda. In the evening, relax by the lakeside and enjoy a delicious meal at one of the many restaurants overlooking the lake.
Today, you can choose to either drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara, the journey will take approximately 7-8 hours and you’ll get to enjoy scenic views of rural Nepal and the Trishuli River Valley.
On the other hand, if you choose to fly, you’ll take a short 25-minute flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu, which cost USD 95 per person where you’ll get to enjoy stunning views of the Himalayas from above. Once you arrive in Kathmandu, you can check into your hotel and relax after your trekking adventure. Spend the evening exploring the vibrant streets of Kathmandu, shopping for souvenirs, or enjoying a traditional Nepali meal.
